  • Hi there. I am Logan and this is Josh. We are your travel tour guide. we will be traveling back in time with you and show you what is would be like in the Indus valley civilization.
  • INDUS VALLEY CIVILIZATION 
  • before we go let me tell you a little bit about the Indus valley civilization. first the city we are visiting is Mohenjo-Daro. second the city thrived for about 5,000 years.Also when we go back time we are going into india but in present day it is in packtain.Lastly Mohenjo-Daro is near the indus river.
  • Welcome to the city. these are their homes. There homes very cool and important because there homes were made out of mud bricks and a lot of people in this city like to be on there because there homes are there workshop, plus they are flat so they can sleep and talk on nice summer days.
  • Next up we have sewer systems. the Indus valley cities were one of the first cities to having indoor sewer systems. let me explain they had pipes that would go under ground and out to the sides of the streets. Also if they wanted to take shower they would have full jars of clean water and they wouldpour it over themselves.
  • this is the Great Bath. the great Bath is a very calm and peaceful place. people say that if you do not bathe in the great bath at least once in your life you don't have a life. the great bath is very important to their culture because not only do they cleanse there body but also there minds from negative thoughts.
  • next we have seals. I know you must be thinking what is so important about seals. well seals were a were forms of labels on merchants goods.also could also be used for good luck like charms or to keep bad evil away from them. did you also know that there were holds in the seals so they could put string in it so they could put it around something.

  • lastly is trade. trade is very important to their civilization because farmers and weavers would trade pots and food and they would get back materials for repairing homes and things. Also they trade for things that they can't grow in their civilization. there is a plus to being in trade, you get to meet many different cultures and people.
