Mexicans thought that the law was necessary to address the problems in Texas
Texans were outraged by these new laws and said it took away their rights

Mexicans believed the taxes were fair and that the Texans had no right to think otherwise

Arrest of Stephen F. Austin
Mexicans thought that Stephen F. Austin was guilty because they thought he acted against the country
Texans wanted to resume immigration from the united states, not pay taxes, and become their own state. Stephen F. Austin was sent at Convention of 1832 and 1833 as President of the convention.
