  • The Pharaoh controlled both Egypt and Israel, so in order for Moses and Aaron to have a festival to worship God they needed permission. The Pharaoh declined since he knew nothing about the Lord and refused to let Israel go.
  • Pharaoh then made Israel slaves work harder by finding their own straws to make bricks so they won't have enough time to listen to the stories of Moses and Aaron. Moses then complains to God, He promises to let His people go as long as they followed His instructions.
  • Pharaoh wanted to Moses and Aaron to prove their power and asked them to do a miracle, so Lord told Moses to tell Aaron to throw his walking stick on the ground; he did and it turned into a snake. Pharaoh then got his wise men and magicians to do it and they did, and still refused to let Israel go just as Lord had said.
  • After many punishments Lord has conducted it made Pharaoh more stubborn each time, yet still refusing to release Israel. So God sent Moses to tell Pharaoh a hail storm is coming and whatever is exposed in the fields is gone. Some of the officials listened and brought their slaves and animals inside, while others that didn't listen died. Because the hail was so intense Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron and told them they could leave as long as they made the hail go away. Moses raised his hand and it went away, the Pharaoh became stubborn once more and refused for them to leave.
  • After each conjured disaster Pharaoh would lie just to make it stop, although God knew, he just needed to show his greatness to Pharaoh. So since Pharaoh still refused to let the Israelites go God once more set up another disaster; darkness fell upon Egypt for 3 straight days, Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron once more, he allowed them to worship Lord but didn't allow them to bring cattle, so he became stubborn again and didn't let the Israelites leave, and Pharaoh said if Moses and Aaron were here again they'd get killed.
  • The final day has come God has had enough, He gave a set of instructions which became a traditional festival during the first month of the year. Except the one thing that's not included every year is every first born male and male animal in Egypt dies and even Pharaoh's son dies and all Pharaoh and his officials cry.
