- Coraline, go out and do something. Your father and I are busy right now.
- I hate it here and Wybie is so annoying

- Coraline and her family moved from Michigan. She is upset over this because she moves away from all her friends.
- We got you a gift so that you can stay here forever
- I'm a little sleepy. I think I'll go to bed
- Coraline and her mom get into a fight because they are always too busy for her due to their work.
- Coraline discovers a different world where she gets a lot of love from her other mother and other father. There she gets fed home cooked meals and her parents take care of her.
- The following days, they offer her a gift. They tell her that they will give her button eyes so that she is part of their family for good.
- Realizing the other world is evil, Coraline tries to run away. She ends up outsmarting the other mother and gets out.
- Coraline and Wybie burry the hand that escaped from the other world so that it can never be let out again.
