Storyboard Text
- You start in a Neronia, one of many cities in the world of Hidat, as Elliot training with your instructor, Alphonse. In this sections, you are taught the controls and there is a cutscene after the tutorial. After training, you are introduced to the king of the city, Felix. The king orders you to go retrieve a piece of an ancient machine in the woods outside of the city. Felix says that the machine is used to channel mana and is needed to help protect the city. Without thought, you agree and then leave for where the machine is said to be found
- Once in the woods, you and Alphonse walk and talk about the state of the city. He explains that the Banshee of the wailing wastelands have been advancing forces towards the city, and mentions that war is on the rise. Soon after, you and Alphonse find the machine but a banshee is guarding it. Alphonse and the Banshee have a long fight, but Alphonse is defeated when another Banshee surprises him.
- After speaking to the leader of the Zecca, he instructs you to seek out the dragons of fire and wind before attempting to fight the Banshee queen. You do so, and once finding the dragons, you learn that they are ancient deities that were here before the time of humans. They mention that the Banshee queen has always kept them under control because of her weakness to fire and wind. You learn the sacred art of Dragon Master Breath Fire and Wind
- You thank the dragons and promise to end the Banshee queen once and for all. After, you leave for the Wailing Wastelands in search of the Banshee queen. You fight your way through the wastelands, not stopping until you find the queen. Once you find her, you lock in a fierce battle. The fight is back and forth and last hours, but once you are both tired, you use the sacred arts and defeat the Banshee queen
- You pick up the Alphonse's sword, and using your skills learned from him, cut your way through the Banshee's. You collect the machine and swiftly exit the woods and make your way back into Neronia. Once you return to Felix and tell him the news, he sends you off to find the Mana Master, Anya. Once you find her, Anya teaches you how to use mana to fight. This is when you would get your mana bar and the power to absorb soul in order to restore mana and unlock new abilities.
- After speaking to Anya, you head through the woods in order to get to the frozen tundra of the Zecca tribe. The Zecca are considered to be master archers and are known for their use of mana in their arrows. Once you reach the frozen tundra, you see a Zecca and ask if they can take you to the city of pagos. They agree and you then follow them to the city facing a few banshee and collecting your first power up, a large slash infused with the power of ice, that slows down enemies.
