  • Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901. His mother gave birth to him in Chicago, Illinois. Disney was the fourth child of the family out of the five.

  • Years after Walter Disney was born, his father moved the family to Marceline, Missouri so he could take over a farm there. However, the farm failed, and his father ended up moving them to Kansas City, Missouri. Walter decided to drop out of school and serve in World War 1 as an ambulance driver.

  • After a brief stretch serving in WW1, Walt Disney returned to Kansas City in 1919 and wanted to work as a commercial illustrator to make crude cartoons. He soon partnered with Ub Iwerks and made his own workshop in 1922. Down the road failures and difficulties started happening with Ub Iwerks, so he resoluted to going to Hollywood, California in 1923. Walt Disney then partnered with his brother, Roy Disney, instead. Later, they both started producing 'Oswald the Rabbit' cartoons for Universal Studios.

  • Walter Disney decided to increase the size of his workshop process. While adding a instruction school, new artists came about and evolved the first feature-length cartoon in 1937 called Snow White. Disney seized television in 1954. The Disney workshop had manufactured 493 short subjects, 21 full-length animated films, 7 true-life adventure features, 47 live-action films, 330 hours of Mickey Mouse Club Television programs, and so many more amazing shows and films.

  • Walter Disney opened the theme park 'Disneyland' on July 18, 1957 in Anaheim, California. This theme park had 6.7 million people visit it by 1996 and is one of the most successful. Disney soon opened another theme park called 'Disney World' in 1971. Following in time amusement parks have opened in Tokyo, Japan, and Paris, France.

  • Disney was planning for big, new outside recreational regions before passing away on December 15, 1966 in Los Angeles, California due to lung cancer. He was joyfully married for forty-one years of his life. He also made a impact in a variety of peoples lives. Walter Disney will always be remembered for his creativity, character, determination, shows/films, theme parks, and his ability to love everyone and everything.
