Storyboard Text
- ExpositionIn the exposition, we meet King Hrothgar, the monster Grendel, and we hear about the backstory of Cain and Adel. We learn of Grendel's history and what brought him and Beowulf together.
- Rising ActionIn the rising action, we meet Beowulf and Beowulf is wanting to kill Grendel and Grendel's mother. He wears armor when he fights Grendel's mother, but he doesn't wear armor when he fights Grendel. Beowulf ends up killing Grendel.
- Rising ActionAfter Beowulf kills Grendel, he heads over to Grendel's mother's land and fights her. Beowulf wears armor and brings a weapon when he fights Grendel's mother because he is no longer on "God's land." Beowulf ends up killing Grendel's mother too.
- Rising ActionHrothgar tells Beowulf that if he kills Grendel he will become wealthy with treasure. Hrothgar then tells him if he kills Grendel's mother also he will become even more wealthy. Beowulf chops off Grendel's head to prove to Hrothgar that he killed Grendel and his mother.
- Pretend that is what Grendel's head looks like :D
- Climax50 years later, one of Beowulf's men steals a goblet from the dragon and the dragon gets angry. Beowulf then has to fight the dragon but he is now 50 years older than he was before when fighting Grendel and Grendel's mother. Wiglaf helps Beowulf fight the dragon.
- Falling Action/ResolutionIn the falling action, Beowulf ends up killing the dragon but he is severely injured and if dying. Beowulf tells Wiglaf that he wants Wiglaf to become the new leader for Beowulf's men. Beowulf ends up dying and Wiglaf becomes the new leader.
