  • France is Bankrupt 1789
  • National Assembly 1789
  • Storming of the Bastille July 14, 1789
  • King Louis XVI and his queen Marie Antoinette were living a very lavish life that only led them to trouble. By over charging the third estate they were able to have money for war and many other luxuries.
  • Frances New Government 1791
  • The Third Estate created the National assembly and made the tennis court oath. This was done in order to establish a new constitution in where they could limit the kings power.
  • Reign of Terror 1793-1794
  • Members of the Third Estate got angry and went to Storm the Bastille. King Louis XVI took this opportunity to imprison anyone he wanted, even if they weren't someone who stormed the Bastille.
  • Rise of Napoleon 1799-1815
  • The society and all of its people finally abolished the Absolute Monarch. They are able to seize the church lands, and any kind of special privileges to the First and Second Estate were abolished.
  • Politically everything was changing because there was no absolute power and the king and queen were beheaded. They introduced the guillotine which killed over 17,000 people, basically anyone that refused the revolution.
  • Napoleon seizes his opportunity and starts making changes especially economically. He opens jobs based on talent. He starts invading various kingdoms and he even reforms France to maintain ideas of Enlightenment.
