- Odysseus is setting a trap for Cyclops. He starts by acting very nice by offering him wine. He knows that this will put Cyclops out of his senses. This is just the first part of his plan.
- Here, take some wine. I bring is as a drink-offering in the hope that you help me get home.
- Be so kind, as to give me some more, and tell me your name. I want to make you a present
- Odysseus sees that Cyclops is starting to get out of his senses because he is moving side to side and not standing straight. He says his name is Noman.
- Here is some more. My name is Noman. That is what all my family calls me. Noman.
- Noman is my meat, after I eat his friends. There's a noble gift now.
- Cyclops falls to the ground. Odysseus has already moved the rock. He makes Cyclops howl.
- AHHHHH
- Why do you cry so sore in the night. Sure no man has tricked you, ruined you?
- Some people heard the howl and came to check. They asked Cyclops if he was alright, if anyone tricked him. SInce he was out of his senses he said, "Noman has tricked me", not realizing it sounds like he is saying, "No man has tricked me".
- Noman. Noman has tricked me. Noman ruined me.
- Ah well, if no one tricked you, we are no use in pain given by Zues. Pray to your father.
- The people thought that "Noman" meant "no man" so they left after saying a few words.
- Odysseus laughs. The theme of this comic is that you should never trust strangers and think before you act or speak. Some people are not who they seem to be.
