Storyboard Text

  • Hey! So, what is the Indus Valley all about?
  • Yes!
  • Indus River
  • The Indus Valley3300–1700 BCE
  • Great question! Well, the Indus Valley has clean water, trading, pets, games, houses, sewer systems, and much more. Would you like to take a look?
  • In the valley, our homes are made from mud bricks that are baked in the hot sun. If you want, you could sit on the roof.
  • That's great!
  • Your turn!
  • We have public and private baths and toilets. Our sewage system is disposed through underground drains built with precisely laid bricks.
  • You know your stuff!
  • The Great Bath
  • At The Great Bath, we believe this is used for ritual bathing. The Bath is made with bricks and a coat of bitumen.
  • You could, but most of us just come here to pray
  • Can you bath in here?
  • The Great Bath
  • What are these?
  • Those? Oh! They are seals. Seals are used to mark packages of goods. Seals help with our trading.
  • How do you trade?
  • Come with me to find out
  • Where are we?
  • Thank you for showing me around!
  • Anytime
  • This place is where we travel to trade. We make a lot of our trading stuff from clay or mud. We mostly trade pots, beads, and cotton cloth. Trade is very important here.
