  • Regin of Terror
  • An angry mob of Parisians was in demand of gunpowder that was stored in the Bastille as the people of Paris wanted to gather arms to defend the city from a royalist assault. They were denied by the governor, however, some managed to get through into the courtyard, and a battle followed between the angry crowd and the guards. Later the governor was beheaded.
  • Many French people were hungry, unemployed, and restless. As a result, a large number of protesters (mostly women) marched from Paris to the Place de Versailles. They were convinced that the royal family and nobility lived in comfort and luxury there. They broke into Marie Antoinette's quarters. The crowd demanded bread and demanded that the King and his family return to Paris. Later, the King was reduced to peasant life.
  • The Terror Reign was a period of insanity. You would be publicly executed if you made any reference to the previous monarch. The French had formed a group known as the committee of public safety, which was in charge of the mass decapitation slaughter. This means that if you spoke out against the government or did anything considered anti-revolutionary, you would be publicly decapitated. Of course, the committee went too far, and as a result, 17,000 officials were executed.
