- Grandpa since you were good at Biology can you explain to me what was the Endosymbiotic Theory was?
- sure thing!
- yeah that much I understand, but how?
- So you do know that the Endosymbiotic theory is the evolution of the eukaryotes cells from prokaryotes?
- Yeah? But what do that have to with the theory?
- Just think about if we humans have the ability to absorb things we would be invincible!
- Imagine yourself under the rainbow and you saw a beautiful rainbow!
- WHAT!! Why would I do THAT!
- come on now you did not let me finish, so as I was saying. If you have eaten the unicorn for example, you would be able to absorb and gain its magical powers.
- AND THEN YOU ATE THE UNICORN!!!!
- It is the same for the the two cells. Back then the world have consists of prokaryotes. There was two other cells one was a a bacteria cell that has a photosynthesis and the other one was a cell uses oxygen to break down sugars (mitochondria). Back then Prokaryotes was able to absorb those two other cell and another cool thing is that the cell did not digest but its still alive!
- This can shows how the plant cell and animal cell became to be!! See how the plant cell contains the chloroplast that helps with photosynthesis and the anime cell contains the mitochondria?
