- רש'י: The reason for doing בדיקה is so we don't violate ב'ל וב'ל and it's דאורייתא
- ר'י: What you say is hard understand. You still have to do ביטול חמץ so which also makes it ownerless so what you are saying doesn't matter because you'll make it ownerless anyway
- The real reason בדיקה is because the rabbis were strict and made a סייג so you don't come to eat it (which is the real point of בדיקה)
- The proof of this is from 'דף י' עמוד ב it says that if there is a loaf of bread on a beam you have to get rid of it so you don't come top eat it
- So you might ask why are they more strict for this than the other איסורים
- The first answer to this question is that חמץ is just an איסור on פסח while all the other איסורים are always in affect
- The second answer is that the torah is so strict that you cant even own the חמץ and the rabbis are so strict that you have to do בדיקה
