- We need to punish the colonies, especially Boston, for what they have done.

- I need to stay with you, the British parliament says so.

- Sugar Act
- Due to the sugar act, everything is so expensive. I have decided to make all of our own clothes so we don't give Britain any money, they don't deserve it.
- Britain is losing money because many colonists are not buying their goods. This is a problem for them.
- After the Boston Tea Party, parliament passed the Coercive Acts to punish the colonists for ruining so much tea. The Coercive Acts included shutting down Boston Harbor, the colonists had to house British troops or officials against their will, town meetings were banned, all government officials had to agree with Britain or they would lose their job.
- Prohibotory Act
- If the colonies can't trade with each other than their communicate will be limited and they won't be able to rebel.

- Declaratory Act
- The Sugar Act put a tax on all non-British items that were headed to the colonies so if the colonists wanted to avoid giving Britain any more money than they already had they would have to make their own clothes.
