- He does love us swetie, but he must leave.
- If you trully loved me, you would not leave. I do not understand.
- My work gives you food, a house, an education, everything. Once you grow up, you will understand me.
- I think I got everything. Remember I'll always love, no matter how far we are from each other. You will always be my little girl. Now go and get some slepp, tommorow I'll leave at 11am.
- My little girl, you are one of the most important persons I have. You mean the world to me. It is not my fault this time. So please, let's have breakfast together one last time.

- Ever since I remember, my dad has been my hero. He is comprehensive and caring, but most of all, funny. We had a great time together. However, he was a military, and our time was limited. When I was eight, he was called to serve in Loja for two years. I felt angry. I thought he didn't love me and that's why he was leaving. The night before, he started packing his things. My mom was helping too.

- The day arrived, and sadness invade my body. I felt sorry for my words. When he came to my bedroom, I felt his steps. He kissed me on the forehead. He was with that military uniform I hated and loved at the same time. Then, he woke me up. I felt a stream shaking my body. He was leaving, and there was no return for two years.
- Yes, I love him. I think he is my favorite character. He is always laughing and make others have a great time. I hope you can do the same when I am not here anaymore.

- We were at the dining room. My mom prepared my dad's favorite oatmeal and my favorite croissant. She was sad too. Last night I hear her crying, and she could not avoid the tears today. The whole environment felt terrible. We were all sad, and not prepared for facing our new reality. I sat there, lost for words. My mom was also affected by the situation.
- Sweetie, I promise I'll be back. Two years are better than ten.
- Your uniform remind me of your eyes. They are both green. But, I don't like it when you to were it. It reminds me you are leaving me.
- Before eleven o'clock, I had one of the most memorable memories with my dad. We always played in our backyard. We played hide and seek and sometimes we sat playing chess. It was truly incredible. That day, we played on the slide and the swing. I will always remember him with his uniform, and what it meant to me. As we both knew he was soon leaving, we enjoyed ourselves as much as we could. This was the last time we played together. When he returned 2 years after, I was no longer interested in playing with him.
- After playing in the yard, we watched our favorite show together. This day felt like collecting my last memories with my dad and recounting everything we did together. Austin and Ally was our favorite show. Dez was our favorite character because he was funny. We laughed, even if we knew it will the last time we watch our show. When he returned, Austin and Ally was no longer aired on Disney Channel.
- It was almost time for leaving. We spent the most incredible morning together. I was definitely not angry anymore, but sad. All kinds of feelings invade me. We packed together the last things. He packed his uniform. The one that took my dad away, but also gave me everything. How can something be so loved and hated at the same time? I was proud of him, but at the bottom of my heart, I was destroyed.
