  • I don't know. Where does this train go?
  • Hello, my friend. This is my first time having company. Where are you going? Are you a hippy like me?
  • Suraj was wandering along a railway track. He kept kicking at loose pebbles and didn't know what to do with himself as the school was closed for the Holidays. He was bored and wished his friend Ranji was there with him. Soon, there was a stationery goods train. Suraj walked the length of the train. He began trying the doors.
  • The man looked concerned for a moment and said, 'Where do you want to go?
  • I want to go everywhere, Greenland, England, China and Africa
  • Suraj was almost at the end of the train when a door opened. It was dark inside the carriage. Suraj stood outside in the bright sunlight, peering into the darkness, trying to recognise shapeless objects. Soon, he entered the train and met someone.. Who could it be?
  • 'You'd better keep out of sight, if you don't want to get caught!' he warned. And then, he disappeared into the jungle.
  • It was a hippy, who travelled on his usual route on the train. He was a dirty, bearded man with a paan-stained mouth. He was looking out at him, with his mouth open wide.
  • Suraj was excited to travel around the world, as he always wanted to be in a train, a train that would take him to strange new places, over hundreds and hundreds of kilometres. And here was a train doing just that, but he wasn't quite sure if that was what he wanted. Soon, he started hearing voices.. It were two labourers moving the crates.
  • Then you're on the right train, this train goes everywhere!
  • The man jumped down and warned Suraj not to get caught as he would've been caught if he didn't have a ticket. So, he hid, then went back and started to enjoy the ride again. He wondered what his parents would think if he didn't come back that night. They would've thought he was kidnapped, run away, or been involved in an accident.
  • Suraj was so astonished. He was back at his home town! He realised the engine had changed ends! It was only the local apple train. It was as though the rest of the world had played a trick on him! Some day, he'd take a train and really go everywhere, and he'd buy a ticket, just to make sure of getting there. 'I'm going everywhere, and no one can stop me!'
