  • On November 6, 1860, Abraham Lincoln was elected the 16th president of the United States of America.
  • Welcome to the world Abraham!
  • As president he worked towards equality. His dream came true with the Thirteenth Amendment. The Thirteenth Amendment officially abolished slavery.

  • President Lincoln was assassinated on April 15, 1865 by John Wilkes Booth. On May 30, 1922, the Lincoln Memorial was dedicated to President Lincoln.
