Because of Winn Dixie

- In the beginning of the story, the grocery man is chasing Winn Dixie and Opal is laughing.
- GET THAT DOG!
- After Opal got home from the grocery store, she brought Winn Dixie with her. The preacher was explaining to her that a dog cannot be in the building. But, he said Opal can keep the dog until she finds a home for it.
- Opal , I'm sorry but we can not have a dog in this building but you can keep it until we find it a home, ok?
- The next day, Winn Dixie jumped over an old fence. Opal was scared to go after Winn Dixie, but she did it. She climbed over the fence and saw a nice lady feeding Winn Dixie peanut butter
- ha! This dog sure loves peanut butter!
- A little while later , Opal is telling Gloria about the party she was planing and she said yes to it.
- Hey I know. Lets' have a party here. We can invite Miss Franny Block, Otis, the preacher, Sweetie Pie Thomas, and Amanda.
- Ok, but only if you invite the Dewberry boys.
- That night the guests came. The preacher was talking to Gloria. Sweetie Pie, the Dewberry boys, and Amanda were playing a game, Opal was trying to calm Otis down.
- I'm so glad all of you could come!
- Well,thank you for inviting us!
- When they got inside, Sweetie Pie Thomas fell asleep on the couch. Otis and Gloria were talking and laughing, so were the preacher and Dunlap. Everyone was so happy that they all started singing.
