  • The Introduction
  • "Yeah mom, its okay if you can't come to my game this week. We have another one upcoming."
  • Father's Business
  • "I want you to follow my steps in the business."
  • The Argument
  • "You can't make me go to this silly business program, I don't even want to go!"
  • "I'm not going to be forced into something that I don't want to do. I will not enjoy it at all."
  • There was a boy named Joseph, he lived in a fancy apartment that took place in New York. Both parents weren't home much to attend the games he played or even take him to school. His father is a businessman who owns a fairly large building, and his mother a lawyer. Since they were so busy, he was homeschooled most of his life by a personal tutor, and most sports he played were after school hours in a private school. His tutoring took place in his personal office that his parents had personalized just for him. Joseph didn't enjoy doing sports but his parents said it was best for him. Besides sports, he had his own personal interests, but he never had the courage to bring it out. Or else, it would be a serious problem for his parents.
  • First day of school
  • "I'm in the Culinary Arts Program!"
  • "Wow really? I'm in the business program."
  • Joseph's parents wanted him to experience high school just as they did. They also wanted him to go to the private school he played sports for. Joseph didn't agree with the idea of going to high school because he was already accustomed to doing everything at home. Switching so suddenly wasn't going to be easy. But this high school wasn't ordinary, it had a program to learn everything about business for youth. This is what Joseph was most concerned about, his dad wanted him to be involved with the business once he got older. But since they had to teach him early, they thought it was a great opportunity for Joseph. Little did they know he didn't enjoy business, sports, or even going to a new school.
  • Culinary Arts Club
  • Baking Club
  • "Hello everyone, I'm very grateful to be here."
  • Just a little over a week before school started, Joseph was at the table eating dinner with his family. While they were eating, they decided it would be a good idea to discuss the matter of enrolling in the business program that the school he was going to has. You had to apply a week in advance before school started to get accepted, and his parents wanted to apply as early as possible. No delay could be accepted in applying late. Joseph didn't want to be in the business program so he spoke up for himself and confronted them. His parents didn't like what they heard and were going to put him in the program regardless which made Joseph grow angry. He said that he shouldn't be forced into doing something he didn't want. It just wasn't right, he should be able to choose his own career path.
  • The Bakery
  • During Joseph's first day of school, he met someone during his lunch. They got along very quickly and spoke together the entire time. They introduced each other and talked about themselves and what their majors are. Her name was Jocelyn, and she was doing Culinary Arts. She had a major passion for baking which Joseph also took interest in, although no one knew about. He had no idea that the school had a Culinary Arts program, but since he was already in the business program, he couldn't enroll. When Joseph had free time and no one was home, he would watch baking videos and be inspired to bake things such as cookies and pastries. He would even attempt at baking but failed terribly
  • They became close friends and hung out often. Every time they hung out, he always asked how she was doing in the Culinary Arts program. Jocelyn caught on that he was greatly interested in Culinary Arts as she was. Sooner or later she introduced him to a club they had for culinary arts as well, and instead of doing sports, he went to the culinary arts club every day. On his first day there he felt more of himself and was surprised at how interested he was. Thanks to Jocelyn, he figured out he wanted to open a bakery after high school. Hopefully, he could open one with her help. He even had everything planned out after he would graduate.
  • After he graduated he got his certification and license from the health department to open a bakery. What Jocelyn and Joseph imagined didn't come true yet. They still had a variety of challenges to overcome. Since his parents didn't approve of him opening a bakery, he had to use his own money he saved from allowance to buy an old place downtown. The place wasn't very pretty like he wanted the bakery to would be. Some windows were shattered and even the walls on the inside were dirty. But with a bit of investing and cleaning, he was able to borrow money from the bank to fix up the soon-to-be new bakery. Jocelyn and Joseph were able to open the bakery in the near future, living happily.
