- I think ballet should be a sport
- I think ballet should not be a sport
- Ballet is most definitely a sport, one of the most physically demanding ones out there. It looks to pretty and elegant that most people don’t understand the physical strength required.
- A ballerina is a girl who floats around a stage wearing a white tutu looking pretty. How can that effort possibly be compared to an athlete?
- in the last performance of "Swan Lake," guest principal dancer Kathleen Martin did 64 fouettés. (A fouetté is a quick spinning movement of a raised leg) on pointe shoes!
- Anybody can dance as it is a game of memory, not of skill.
- ballet isn't a sport. Sport means to fight for something then win or lose. But never give up just fight until you win
- ballet one of the few sports in which, not only do you need immense strength in your upper body or lower body, but you need immense strength in BOTH. You need exponential levels of strength and better yet, CONTROL. that is the upmost difficult type of strength.
