- In Jenkins High School a drug deal was taking place in the washroom. Liam Anderson and Elijah Simons were selling weed to fellow high school classmates.
- I knew they were selling weed, I'm going to have to tell the principal and teachers. There's no way this weed is safe and cheap. This is very illegal.
- Alright, but make it 5 ounces and I will give you $500
- $100 for an ounce. It's a good deal man, we sell top quality
- The Principal was informed by a student and called the boys into the office and she notified the police.
- You cannot do that. We have rights!
- I was informed of the drug deals that has occurred on school property. The police has been called and I will need to search your lockers and bags.

- Actually since you both have broken the rules and sold drugs on school property, I am allowed to search it in order for others safety and your lockers are school property.
- The police came and brought arrest warrants with them as they cannot arrest people without reason or cause. They need special permission from judges.
- We are going to arrest them and take them to the police station to record this incident and for trial.
- Yes officer, 2 of our Grade 12 students have weed in their lockers and bags. They were conducting drug deals in the washroom according to several rumors. and a classmate
- The police arrest Liam Anderson and informed the reason of arrest and his rights as he is 18 years old.
- You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in court. You have the right to an attorney which you can call when we get to the station.
- Liam Anderson you are under arrest for the illegal distribution and possession of weed. We are taking you to the local police station. Please cooperate with us and things will go smoothly.
- The police arrest Elijah Simons and explain charge and reason of the arrest and what is going to happen as he is 17 years old and is a minor.
- We are taking you to the local police station where you will be allowed to call your parents and inform them of your situation. I advise that you remain calm and cooperate.
- Elijah Simons you are under arrest as we have been notified you were involved in an illegal drug deal and in possession of drugs or more specifically weed.
- My lawyer and Legal Aid informed me that at the court hearing they will decide on whether bail will be granted. I don't want to have a trial as there is a lot of evidence against me. It will be wiser to plead guilty and take a plea deal which might be a reduced sentence. I hope bail is granted so I don't need to stay here until trial.
- Liam is held in a cell overnight as the court hearing is the next day. He calls his parents lawyers and asks Legal Aid for advice as they help anybody who calls and needs immediate help.
- It is very scary to be in here. I cannot wait to get out tomorrow.
- Since I am 18, I will be charged as an adult and serve jail time.
