- Before creation, the Earth used to be flat and shapeless. The ancestors of Earth were 'asleep' underground.
- Then the Ancestors awoke from the ground and sang, while creating life with each word spoken.
- While the ancestors were wondering the Earth, they found lifeless shapeless heaps that could only lie on the floor.
- These ancestors took the lifeless heaps and carved heads, faces, arms, legs, and ears from knives made from stone.
- When the ancestors thought their work was done, they went back to sleep. Some went underground, others went to the sky, and some turned into trees or rocks.
