Snemalna Knjiga Besedilo

  • It had now been a long time since the battle and Boxer's hoof was still injured, but he refused to stop working because he wanted to see the windmill be well under way before he was to retire.
  • It had changed to winter and rations were running low, especially because Napoleon has 31 new piglets running around. More work was also to be done to rebuild the windmill and now build a school for the young pigs.
  • Since the pigs had gotten into Mr. Jones's alcohol, they began to produce their own. The other animals began to smell the cooking barley yet never saw any mash leave the house. After a while they thought nothing of it and continued with their day.
  • One day while working on the windmill, Boxer collapsed, unable to get up, which caused great worry in the other animals. Without Boxer, how were they ever going to be able to finish the windmill?
  • A few days later, an "ambulance" comes to pick up Boxer. Benjamin recognizes the symbol on the side of the wagon, the one of the knacker, and tries to warn the other animals. No one is able to catch up to the truck before it pulls away with Boxer trapped inside, being taken to his death.
  • Theree days later, when it was announced that Boxer had died, Squealer is able to convince the other animals that Boxer had died happily and wanted his fellow comrades to obey Napoleon and keep working hard. That night the pigs drank lots of whiskey from the money they had gotten for Boxer.
