- The Lord had commanded Aron and Moses to talk to the King of Egypt 'Pharaoh'. Lord: 'go and tell Pharaoh the king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his land'

- Moses and Aron then spoke to Pharaoh like the lord had commanded. Aron dropped his staff and it then turned into a snake.
- Pharaoh had refused to let the Israelites go. 'Then the Lord said to Moses ''Pharaohs heart is hardened; he refuses to let the people go.
- God sent nine plagues after Pharaoh. Hoping that he would free the Isralites
- They showed their faithfulness in God by trusting him to not let the plagues affect them.
- First plague: God had turned the Nile river to blood. Second plague: God filled Egypt with frogs. Third Plague: God infested Egypt with gnats. Fourth Plague: God sent swarms of flies all around Egypt
- Fifth Plague: God infected all of the animals with livestock disease. Sixth Plague: God had infected Pharaohs people with boils. Seventh Plague: God made it thunder and rain. Eight Plague: God spread locusts all around the land of Egypt. Ninth Plague: God then eliminated all light, except for the Israelites.
