1763 - King George III declared that the colonists could not cross the Appalachian Mountains, thus establishing the western boundary for the colonies. He also raised the taxes in the colonies to pay the expenses of the war.
The Native Americans that allied with the French raided settlements along the edges of the colonies.
1759 - Major General James Wolfe and other British soldiers overcame French guards and captured the capital of New France using a path discovered by British scouts.
William Pitt and some well trained British soldiers - conquered Fort Louisbourg in 1758, along with other forts later that year with the help of the New York and New England militia.
