today i am here in the arctic with my team and we are going to look at ice cores
theonebehinditall
ice core
this is an ice core as you can see each layer thing shows how old it is
the team
scientists can judge how old this actic area or ice zone is because of how deep it is. but its hard to go past 1000 years into the past because it will be too long
personally i thing the cave one is more affective because it doesnt have to be that long to go back far
the ice cores are usualy extraced from ice sheets from the antartic. and why it is so hard to do is because one layer (5-7 cm) is one year of ice hardening and going into an ice core so that means it will be pretty long after 100 years and dont even mention 1000
the dust can get trapped in the ice too and that shows the conditions of the antarctic at that year
police sirens
it tells alot about the climate within them because of how short and how dusty/dirty it is
there are also carbon bubbles in them that show about the ground and how steady it was
