- Quick Write: Have you used audiobooks or storytelling technology in your classroom? What could be some benefits? Drawbacks?
- It seems to me that using audiobooks could help students with all sorts of skills, phonemic awareness, prosody, visualizing, and just plain old loving stories! If you had kids discuss the audiobook or journal about it, you could support speaking and writing skills as well!
- Using more technology is a great idea! When students use digital media, they are more engaged and supportive of each other! (Hett, p. 5)

- I use visual storytelling to have students introduce themselves at the beginning of the year. It's also good for introducing a new topic, that way I can skip a lecture! It's always a good idea to have parent volunteers or other helpers with you the first time you have kids make their own story though. (Hess, p.10)
