  • Hi Doc, are there any medicines you could prescribe me to reduce my risk of cancer? And how much will this cost me?
  • Well there are many drugs i could prescribe you, but there is one other promising alternative which is completely free.
  • Oh yeah, what's that?
  • It's called Physical Activity and it's one of the easiest modifiable risk factors for cancer out there.
  • But i hate exercise!
  • It's a lot more simple than that! Physical Activity can be performed almost anywhere, even just by jogging on the spot in your own office!
  • But how much do i have to do?
  • Well, it's recommended that you take part in at least 30 minutes of Physical Activity, 5 days per week. But..There is convincing evidence to suggest the more you do the less risk you will have for a number of cancers!
  • I don't understand though, how does this all work?
  • Well, by providing evidence on the biological mechanisms, the optimal types, duration and intensity of Physical Activity and influences of the built environment, we aim to provide answers to your question!
