Snemalna Knjiga Besedilo

  • This is amazing! I think this piece just shows how  a shocked face looks like.
  • Do you think so? I think this shows a surprised face.
  • That is a good idea! Let's do that!
  • I am not sure if we are interpreting it correctly.
  • To be completely honest,  I am not sure either. Do you want to look up the background of the author so we can have at least an ounce of idea of what this might mean?
  • Before his breakdown, one of his sisters was committed to a mental asylum because of her severe mental health issues. In addition to that, he struggled with the loss of his mother at five years old, and at about thirteen years old, his lost one of his sisters. Both died of tuberculosis. In fact, his past was incredibly traumatic, which likely contributed to both his existential crisis and the idea to go through with painting The Scream.
  • I think Munch was trying to explain how he felt when he had to experience all of the unfortunates events in his life through painting.
  • So this painting must mean a lot more than just mere facial expressions.
  • I agree! In addition to that, I also think that Munch is trying to reflect what he wanted to do at that time, to just scream.
  • I think so too. Those  few details about Edvard Munch's life are very helpful to better understand the meaning of the painting.
  • I really enjoyed doing this! I would love to do this again with you, and hopefully learn new things again about different artists!
  • I am glad you enjoyed it. I will definitely do this again with you. I enjoyed knowing about the habitus of the artist, and how it helped us to infer possible meanings more accurately.
