- Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a mental disorder in which the person has an inflated sense of self-imporatance. People with narcissistic personality disorder may be generally unhappy and disappointed when they're not given the special favors or admiration they believe they deserve. The cause isn’t known but it is most likely due to overly protective or neglectful parenting. Symptoms include an excessive need for admiration, disregard for other’s feelings, an inability to handle criticism, and a sense of entitlement. The best treatment for narcissistic personality disorder would be psychotherapy/talk therapy. We rewrote the story of Aladdin so that the villain, Jafar, suffers from narcissistic personality disorder. Jafar is a rich and popular teen but is neglected as his parents are always working. Aladdin is a poor nerdy kid that falls in love with Jasmine, the popular rich girl and the daughter of the mayor. Jafar is expected to be with Jasmine because of an arranged marriage made by their parents to gain more influence, but she falls for Aladdin, making Jafar angry as he needs to be the best and have the best.
