  • Blahahaa_ Athenians will die!
  • Deathly ROAR
  • Don't worry fatherI will return and signal to you I am unharmed with white sails!
  • Hello, I want to help you
  • You will die!
  • Long ago, King Minos ruled Crete. He was a cruel king. He held a grudge against the Athenians because they killed his son. As punishment he demanded that 7 Athenian boys and girls be sacrificed to the Minotaur every 9 years.

  • Deep underground King Minos' palace was a vast labyrinth and there lived the horrendous Minotaur. The beast was half-man, half- bull and ravaged anyone who entered his tomb.
  • The ninth year dawned and Aegeus, King of Athens, had to choose who to sacrifice. His son Theseus' pleaded with his father to allow him go for he was determined to slay the Minotaur and stop him.
  • Upon arrival, King Minos' daughter, Ariadne gave Theseus a sword and rope to help him beat the Minotaur.
  • As the Minotaur walked closer and closer, Theseus was more terrified of his arrival. He took one last look - nothing. The cave was free. Just at that moment he felt a massive breath on his neck and slobber was on his sword. With one quick swing the Minotaur met his death.
  • You might think that this tale ends happily ever after however; there is a twist! In his haste to return home, Theseus forgot to change the sails on his ship to white. His father saw the black sails and jumped off a cliff. Theseus was king but a sad one. He realised that his betrayal of Ariadne was wrong.
