- Hey Anaya , do you know what states of matter are?
- The first thing you should know is that all things that have weight are matter. So we are matter, rocks are matter and so on.
- You can? Thanks Ida! I really want to learn about them.
- I've heard of them Ida but I never learnt about them.
- The second state of matter is LIQUID! Liquid is milk, water or the milkshake I'm holding right now. The molecules in liquid are close but not that close. They have a good distance so that's why they're not solid. And they also take up the space of any container or bottle etc. For exampleif you pour some water in a small container it will take up the shape of the container.
- The first state of matter is solid. In solids the molecules are very tightly packet together. Take this carrot for example. You cannot change the shape of it since the molecules are tightly packed together.
- WOW!
- The last state of matter is GAS! Gas is oxygen, hydrogen, helium and so on. The molecules are very distant. Think of the molecules in gas are like enemies since they're very distant, the molecules in solids are best friends since they're so tightly packed together and the molecules in liquid are frenemies (friends and enemies) since they're close but not that close.
