- In April of 2005, Pertina Epps was found underneath a car port. She had been strangled to death, and fingerprints had been left behind. One was found on her purse, that led back to Charles Wright.

- In 2022, Charles Wright was convicted of the murder and sexual assault of Pertina Epps, a mother of two children. He had strangled her to death. Charles, 56 was arrested but then released on bond.
