Andrew Jackson gave away jobs to unqualified people based on just the fact that they support him. This was controversial because many qualified people were losing their jobs.
Indian Removal Act of 1830
This law will give you the right to negotiate the Native Americans removal from federal land
Andrew Jackson implied a tariff that raised foreign good prices by up to 50 percent. They did this so people would start buying more from American manufacturers. Some states thought this was unconstitutional.
Trail of Tears
Many states were mad about the new tariffs. South Carolina confronted the federal government and said that it should be their right to nullify any law (or tariff) they deemed unconstitutional. This created chaos.
