- On April 5th 2022, I had done everything I normally do on a Tuesday. I went to school all day during that semester so that's where I was. During this same time, my grandma had been in the hospital for 3 months. The weekend before the doctor had told us to prepare for the worse but we did not know how soon it would be. I had planned to go see her that same day after school since that is what I would do most days after school.
- When I got home that evening around 6:30, only my two sisters were home. I asked my older sister where our parents where. Once she told me I started to get scared because my parents never went without us.
- "where are mom and dad?"
- "They already left to the hospital and said we couldn't come with them! I'm not sure why they didn't say!"
- That whole evening I was welcomed with a gut feeling and I knew things were not good and I just waited till my parents got home.
- "she's gone."
- Once my parents got home, I knew the news was not good just by looking at their faces. They sat me down that day and told me that she had passed away. It was one of the hardest days in my life . to this day I am still learning to deal with the grief.
