Isabella is a 16-year-old girl who is used to going unnoticed. Now that Isabella's changing she is put in a tough situation between 2 guys that she truly loves.
Conflict
This book takes place at a beach house in Cousins. The main character and her family are staying in the beach house for the whole summer with their family friends.
Resolution
Isabella and her family drive up to the house ready for their same annual summer traditions. Isabella is dreading this trip because she is always excluded from the things her brother and their family friends Jeremiah and Conrad do.
Simile text evidence
What Isabella notices right away is that this summer will definitely be different. Her family friends Jeremiah, and Conrad who she always thought of as brothers are now suddenly interested in her. Isabella who has always been a shy person is now having to make an ambitious decision on what is the right choice.
After a summer spent with Jeremiah and Conrad, Isabella decides to go out with Conrad. She originally was going to choose Jeremiah but as the summer went on, more of his insensitive side came out.
It looked just the way I thought a beach house should look. It looked like home (Han 7). This piece of figurative language(simile) really stood out to me because I understand that feeling. The feeling that something is yours, and has always been yours.
