- Matilda always dreamed about living lavish. Living lavish was one of her dreams and having nice dresses , big house and jewelry. How it came about was that this was all a dream.
- Climax
- What! ..How!!..That's impossible.
- Mathilde's husband and her got a invitation from Loisel but Mathilde doesn't have anything to wear or any accessories. So, she complains. Mathilde gets mad at her husband for not have a better enough dress for her
- Falling Action
- Mathilde's friend Madame Forestier haves a lot of jewelry. Mathildes goes to ask Madame Forestier for some jewlery if she can wear it. Madame pulls out her large box from her mirrored wardrobe and tells Matthilde , "choose my dear". Eventually, she found a diamond necklace that she likes.
- Resolution
- Mathilde and her husband were on there way home trying to find a cab after the ball. Mathilde arrived at home and undressed herself and realized the necklace wasn't around her neck.
- The necklace isn't on my neck!!
- Mathilde had to pay the debt for Madame Forestier back. She had to fire the maid and become one herself. Things she had to do was grocery shop,wash dishes, and sweep floors,
- Mathilde saw Madame Forestier one day and confronted her about the necklace and how she looked. Come to find out the necklace was a an imitation.
