- Maria just woke up and is having a bowl of cereal. Then her mom asks her if she is ready for her first day of Middle school. Also says she will take her to school. But Maria wants to walk to school.
- Maria turns the corner and the is a mean dog. Maria is now running in fear in the rain from the mean dog and then hides in a store. Also, Maria does not have an umbrella and she was getting wet a lot.
- Maria got to school and she is soaking wet. Her friend is there to greet her with a laugh as she is dripping wet. Also, her hair looked like a beehive, her shoes are soggy like cereal. But Maria will remember the first step toward being independents.
