- Elticlies: WAAAAARRRRRR
- Polyneices: that’s not fair.
- Both eticlies and polyneices died in this war. polyneices was deemed a traitor so it would be illegal to attempt to or bury him.
- “Rose like a dragon behind him, shouting war”
- Antigone pledges her loyalty to her family more than law. Antigone buries her brother and calls Ismene out for not helping her.
- I don’t care what Creon says i would rather bury my brother. Even if he is a “traitor to Creon” he is my brother to me and yours as well.
- Antigone: I will just bury polyneices myself you coward!
- “Go away , Ismene: I shall be hating you soon, and the dead will too, for your words are hateful.”
- Ismene: i was just trying to keep you out of trouble. You heard Creon about burying Polyneices right?
- Antigone: polyneices is my brother and no matter what he has done, he deserves a proper burial like everyone else!
- Antigone gets caught trying to bury polyneices and now gets punished by creon. Ismene tries to take guilt but fails.
- Creon: So you’re the one who attempted to fully bury polyneices! Why dare defy the law!
- Ismene: I am just as guilty as Antigone
- “No more, Ismene. You are alive but i belong to death.”
- Creon and haemon get in a hot argument and haemon wants Antigone free because he thinks she is innocent and creon is denying. He says he will lock antigone in a stone vault with limited food far in the woods.
- 2. Creon: Son, Antigone is guilty, find a new girl, and don’t insult me or i shall punish you too boy!
- 1. Haemon: “Ah. who is it that’s talking like a boy now?”
- 3. If she dies, your death will cause another and you will never see my face again.
- “Look upon me, friends, and pity me turning back at the night’s edge to say Good-bye to the sun that shines for me no longer now, sleepy death.”
- Antigone gets sent and locked in a stone vault by Creon and guards. She was given a limited amount of food.
- Creon: 2. “The generation of prophets has ways loved gold”
- Terisias gives creon advice and is at first stubborn to it then, later realizes what he has done and tries to fix everything but it’s too late. He witnessed haemon stab himself holding antigone, who hung herself, his wife killed herself, and a lot of civilians are killing themselves. Creon has provoked utter chaos.
- Terisias: 1. “Yet you have said my prophecy is for sale”
- Terisias: 3. “The generation of kings has always loved brass.”
