- Audrey Hendricks was a little girl who started listening in church meetings at the early age of 7 where they discussed ways for civil rights and lots of news (white attacks or black and white agreements). Audrey Hendricks was part of an active group in a church in New Pilgrim. No matter what, Audrey Hendricks and her Family always participated in the meetings.

- Audrey Hendricks was encouraged to join the meetings after being traumatized from one moment she saw on her way home after a church meeting. Audrey was walking home when she witnessed an old black man being attacked by a police dog without the police trying to intervene and save the man.
- ALL OF YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!!
- It was a warm morning, the morning of another protest march. Audrey decided to skip school and attend the march. The news of Audrey planning to attend the march devasted her teacher. Everyone participating in the march expected to be arrested.
- Audrey met up with the group of marchers at Sixteenth Street Church. The group planned to walk from the Church all the way to Kelly Ingram Park, where they expected to be arrested. The group always sang during the march, it gave people reassurance and calmness.
- Once the group arrived at Kelly Ingram Park, Officers would arrest thousands of them. The groups' plan was working fine. Audrey was the youngest to be arrested at the scene. The Officers would stuff all of the People in paddy wagons sending them off to jail.
- Audrey was sent to juvenile stuffed inside of a jail cell with a bunch of young black girls. Audrey was the first to be questioned by the group of police, Audrey was nervous that the officers might kill her or abuse her since she was a black girl being presented into a room of white men. The Men questioned her about who planned the march and why she tagged along.
