- Hi! I'm Yeh-Shen. My life has been pretty rough ever since my parents died. I've had to live with my stepmother and stepsister who aren't very nice to me. Luckily, I have my best friend, who is a fish that I caught and raised.

- Later in the night, my stepsister almost recognised me. So, I ran back to the house. when I got back,I realized that I had lost one of my slippers while running. Now the fish spirit won't talk to me.

- When the slipper was brought to my town, my stepmother would not allow me to go try it on. So, I came up with a plan.
- The following week, the king took the slipper to each town, trying to find the owner.
- Shall I seize her, my king?
- Every girl in the kingdom tried on the slipper, but since my feet are unusually small, it didn't fit on anyone's foot.
- I snuck into town in the middle of the night and took the slipper back.
- No, I think that is her.
- Later, the king followed me home. I hadn't noticed and was completely surprised when I saw him on my doorstep.
- He asked me to try on the golden slipper and, well, the rest is history.
