- After the doctor's somber report, the host asks the pardoner to lighten the mood. He began to preach that everyone should buy his relics so that their sins would be forgiven and he would be financially compensated.
- CLIMAX
- The three men were drinking outside the bar when they saw a coffin pass by, and a servant later informed them that one of their friend had been murdered by the mysterious figure known as Death. They embarked on a mission to track down death and exact revenge on him.
- FALLING ACTION
- On their journey, the three men encounter an old man who must wander until he can swap youth for age. He insists that death cannot take him. Hearing him speak of Death, revelers question his location. The old man indicates a tree at the end of the trail. The revelers discover eight bushels of gold money.
- RESOLUTION
- When they get there, they play a game where the person who gets the short end of the straw has to go get food and wine. The youngest one draws the short straw and goes to get food and wine for all three of them. When he comes back, the other two plan to kill him. They kill him by stabbing him to death.
- After committing a crime, all they want to do is relax.. While the youngest is unconscious, the others consume everything he brought, unaware that it was all poisoned.
- In the end, all three men perished. Indeed, they are all destined to encounter the enigmatic killer known only as death.
