- Hello my name is Ms.Unice today what we gonna learn today is journey in Digestive system.Digestion is the function of Digestive System,there are 2 types of Digestion,the Mechanical and Chemical digestion.Mechanical Digestion is food particles turn into smaller pieces and Chemical Digestion helps in the digestion with the presence of enzymes
- This is the mouth where the digestion start where the food turns into smaller pieces and with the help of saliva that forms moist like ball called bolus.
- The bolus moves down to the tube like structure called esophagus that connects the mouth and the stomach and with the help of the series wave-like muscle contraction called peristalsis that moves the bolus to the stomach.
- The stomach is the J-shape,bag-like muscular organ,that its primary function is to store food.The stomach walls contains acid that breakdown proteins.
- From there the food that has been digested in the stomach enters the small intestine and the absorption begin,the tiny finger-like projection absorbs the nutrients and that is villi.
- Once the absorption done in the small intestine it moves to the large intestine that absorbs  the water of the material that is not digested in the small intestine.
- This is the last process of the digestive system.It is the released of undigested food collected in the rectum and pushed out of the body through the anus.
