- I'm hungry so I will bake some cookies
- The first step of baking cookies/mitosis is prophase 1. The homologous chromosomes (pretzels.) Together four pretezles will create a tetrad. The centrioles will be chocolate chips, and the nucleus will be the peanut butter cup. This is now when the homologous chromosomes (pretzels) will cross over to complete prophase 1
- Anaphase 2, here the spindle fibers pull apart the chromosomes (pretzel pieces) and seperate them by their centromeres (the middle of the pretzel).
- The second step is called metaphase 1, this is when the chromosomes (pretzels) attach to the spindle fibers. The homologous chromosomes are side by side. There will be spindle fibers added, which will help in the next step. The spindle fibers are connected to the centrioles (chocolate chips). The spindle fibers connect to the centromeres, which is the middle part of the chromosomes (pretzels)
- Telophase 2, here the two cells (cookie), replicate and becomes four cells (cookies)
- The third step is anaphase 1, here the spindle fibers pull apart the chromosomes (pretzel pieces) and seperate them by their centromeres (the middle of the pretzel).
- The fourth step is telophase 1, here the one cell (cookie), replicates and becomes two cells (cookies)
- The next step is prophase 2 is prophase 1. The homologous chromosomes (pretzels.) Together four pretezles will create a tetrad. The centrioles will be chocolate chips, and the nucleus will be the peanut butter cup. This is now when the homologous chromosomes (pretzels) will cross over to complete prophase 2
- Now it is time for metaphase 2, this is almost exactly the same as metaphase 1, here the chromosomes (pretzels) line up on the equator and the spindle fibers which are connected to the centrioles (chocolate chips) connect to the centromeres (the middle of the pretzels)
