  • This shows that Macbeth is proud of what he and his side has accomplish but he still feels a little bit of guilt for the people who may not have made it on his side. This shows Macbeth's compassion for the people they may have.
  • The Witches were right and the best part of what they said is yet to come. Now will Banquo believe his children will be Kings
  • This shows that when Macbeth hears something that could be beneficial to him that is when he suddenly becomes interested in the conversation. He also feels like he has authority over others by saying I command you.
  • The Witches have been correct so far, but if being king is such a good thing, why do I feel so bad about having to kill the King.
  • The First thing Macbeth said after the witches left was Your kids will be kings. This shows that Macbeth is also only worried about future lineage and himself. He wants to make sure that everything that is happening will be beneficial to him in someway.
  • Maybe I won't have to do anything bad, but I guess whatever happens will happen
  • This shows Macbeth's determination and ambition to become king starting to form. Now that He knows the witches were right about two things, he will now do whatever is in his power to ensure the most important thing (becoming King) will happen.
  • This shows that even though Macbeth is considered ruthless, he still feels some guilt early on at the prospect of killing a close friend. His conscious doesn't see how killing a close friend could end up being a good thing.
  • This shows that in the end, Macbeth's ambition for power overcomes his guilt. He hopes he won't have to do anything bad, but whatever happens will happen. This shows that Macbeth will do whatever it takes to become King and get his power.
