- Lydia feel's as if something is odd about the nursery. George doesn't believe her and only thinks its just four crystal walls.“I just want you to look at it, is all, or call a psychologist in to look at it.”
- Climax
- “Did you see? Did you feel? It’s too real.” George and Lydia had two totally different thoughts of the nursery. But they both thought it needed to be closed down.
- Falling Action
- As the parents were deciding to shut down not only the nursery, but also the house, the children threw fits. Wendy was still crying and Peter joined her again. “Just a moment, just onemoment, just another moment of nursery,” they wailed.
- Resolution
- The children locked the parents in thinking it would solve their problem with the nursery.“Open the door!” cried George Hadley, trying the knob. “Why, they’velocked it from the outside! Peter!” He beat at the door. “Open up!”
- As the parents went through the motion with the nursery they began to hear the lions. They felt afraid. It all felt too real. "Mr. and Mrs. Hadley screamed. And suddenly they realized why those other screams had sounded familiar."
- As the children waited and played outside. They felt no remorse. David McClean showed up. The children looked up and smiled. “Oh, they’ll be here directly.”
