- Professor Mirabella's personal story had an impact on me as an individual and as an educator. Gina's diagnosis moved me to tears. Her story was nothing but inspiring and showed perseverance. She never gave up and did everything she could to live the best version of her life.
- When Professor Mirabella expressed that Gina was an individual filled with desires, meaning, and purpose, it made me smile so hard. There was definitely a connection between Gina and I.
- Hearing Gina's story made me want to be more involved in student's lives, even though I am currently a substitute teacher. Encouraging students and developing a student-teacher relationship lets them know that they have a voice.

- Another way I would help parents is you improve the communication. Whether it's google chat, WhatsApp or any other communication app, constant communication with the parents allows the us, the teachers, to hear their concerns, suggestions or comments about their child's schooling environment. 
- It is also important to provide any kind of resources that the parents and/or child might need in addition to the resources they might get while they are in school. Food pantries, living services, or additional learning support would all be shared to the parents.
- Flexible meeting times would also be efficient in helping parents. Perhaps they can't make it to school, I can meet them either in their place of living of living. Accessible places and timing is important when it comes to communication and bettering the student.
