- King Minos thought Daedalus helped Theseus escape the labyrinth, because he was the only one who knew how to get out, so he locked him and his son Icarus in a tower forever.
- Don't be crazy while flying.
- Daedalus came up with a great idea to escape. They could fly!
- Daedalus took his son Icarus up to the roof to study the birds and learn how to fly.
- Daedalus made wings out of oiser branches and stuck them together with wax. He warned Icarus that if he flew too high the wax would melt and he would fall.
- Although Icarus was warned, he was too excited about flying that he flew up to the sun and dived down to the sea.
- Daedalus kept trying to tell Icarus that his actions were dangerous but he wouldn't listen. Icarus soon realized his wings were melting and he got scared. Icarus fell into the ocean and drowned. The Icarian Sea, where he fell, was named after him.
