- Blood is a circulating tissue that contain Red cells, White cells, and platelets. Blood transports things like oxygen and nutrients to our body to keep us healthy.
- Red blood cells transport the oxygen we need inside and gets rid of the carbon dioxide. White blood cells fight diseases and viruses.
- Are there different types of blood?
- Now that's pretty interesting!
- Yes, there are 4 different types of blood. A, B, AB, And O each have their own set of antigens and antibodies that help distinguish the different types. O is the most common type.
- Does blood contain DNA?
- Red blood cells do not, however white cells do. In Forensics, these white blood cells can help find suspects and exclude an others.
