- No, Martian soil is harmful for plants and people because it contains a lot of chlorine called 'perchlorates'. These toxic molecules will need to be removed before using the soil to grow food crops.
- You would die almost instantly. The atmosphere is much thinner and there's almost no oxygen. The temperature range from a high of 70 F, which is fine. But it can lower down to -200 F, which is not fine.
